World Championship

The Formula Two driver's championship is awarded to the driver that manages to obtain the highest number of points, taking into account all the results obtained during the entire season.

The title for the Formula Two Constructor Championship is awarded to the team (taking into account both cars) that manages to obtain the most points throughout the season.

Points Structure

Points structure that will determine both the Drivers' World Championship & the Constructors Championship is as follows:

    11. 5 points
    12. 4 points
    13. 3 points
    14. 2 points
    15. 1 point

If two or more constructors or drivers finish the season with the same number of points, the higher place in the Championship (in either case) shall be awarded to : a) The holder of the greatest number of first places. b) If the number of first places is the same, the holder of the greatest number of second places. c) If the number of second places is the same, the holder of the greatest number of third places and so on until a winner emerges.

Each division will have permanent reserves that will take full time role if a driver decides to leave during the season. Reserves can score points all season for themselves but won’t count towards the constructors. The reserve driver carries over these points when he makes the switch to full time.

How To Report An Accident

We cannot control/monitor all the actions of our drivers but we have our ways to penalise drivers who break the rules.

The following link will be used to be report incidents and any other foul play that occurs during the races. It is important that stewards are provided with a good explanation of the incident in order for it to be investigated.

Link: https://forms.gle/NfrYZcPbp5YVU2hv7

Deadlines for reporting an accident and requested footages: Deadline for reporting an accident is Tuesday 12pm UK time and deadline to provide a footage requested by the stewards is Wednesday 12pm UK time. It is important to note that if a footage is not provided till the deadline stated above, stewards will take the decision based on the evidence received.

Track Etiquette
  1. It is always important to race cleanly, and as a driver you are required to do your best at avoiding contact with other cars.
  2. If a bump pass occurs, whereby the car behind creates contact with the car in front and benefits from it, the car that was initially behind must give the place back so that they have gained no benefit from the incident. This requires them to lose places on track if necessary, to re-join behind the car they hit initially.
  3. If you leave the track for any reason, you must make sure you can re-enter the track safely and, in enough space, to not interfere with other drivers in any way. When you re-join, stay off the racing line until you’re fully up to racing speed. Even if this means you drop to the back of the field, this rule is mandatory and always enforced. Do not re-join straight away if this takes you into the path of other drivers.
  4. Only one defensive movement per corner is allowed. no movement in the braking zone, and no excessive weaving or blocking.
  5. If you are about to be lapped, then it is your responsibility to allow the faster car to pass in a manner that doesn't affect their line or speed. Make your move early if possible so that the faster car can clearly see how to pass you.
  6. If you are faster than a car that has lapped you, do not attempt to un lap yourself unless it is safe to do so, and do so without hindering their race.
  7. You are only allowed to retire in the pitlane. Anyone found retiring a healthy car on track will receive a warning for the first offence and a race ban for the second offence. IMPORTANT NOTE: Stewards have the right to opt for a race ban as a penalty without a warning in such circumstances.
  8. Going AI/ Ghosting – DO NOT DO THIS. At any point on track do you retire or press options button for menu your car does not ghost. This includes during qualifying, Formation lap, VSC and SC. Do not do this. If you do want to retire in the race or during qualifying drive car back to pits and retire. Anyone guilty of this going forward will receive an instant Qualifying ban. This can lead to crashes and blocking drivers during qualifying. At no point during the race are drivers allowed to ghost/go AI, this can cause issues and crashes while racing with other drivers, especially behind the Safety Car. Exception is made if connection is lost.
  9. When attempting to overtake, as the chasing car it is generally your responsibility if contact is made.
  10. It is important to have good awareness of where other cars are around you on track, so taking extra care is vital both at the start of a race and in battles.
  11. Deliberately crashing into another car will result in a severe penalty or being permanently excluded from the league.
  12. Slowing down when safety car is deployed. No car may be driven unnecessarily slowly, erratically or in a manner which could be deemed potentially dangerous to other driver or any other person at any time whilst the safety car is deployed. This applies whether any such car is being driven on track or pit lane. Anyone found doing so will be heavily penalised.
  13. Do not crash out of the race deliberately because you are frustrated, anybody found to be doing so will be heavily penalised.
  14. Do not retire on track at any time, this can cause a safety car or car not ghosting and ruins some one's race. You must retire in the garage only.
  15. Do not pause the game for a significant amount of time. Any incidents caused by your AI car will be your responsibility.
  16. Resetting on track is prohibited. Anyone caught resetting on track will be heavily penalised.

Qualifying Etiquette
  1. It is your own responsibility to create a sufficient gap on the track, cars already on a flying lap do not have to yield to a faster car approaching. However, if you are on an IN/OUT lap you must let faster cars through.
  2. Do not retire on track at any time, this is to avoid cars not ghosting and ruining another driver qualifying session. You must retire in the garage only. If you run out fuel, make your way back to the pits without impeding other drivers.
  3. It is not allowed to crash out or get disqualified deliberately. Anyone found doing so will be heavily penalised.
  4. Do not race other drivers during qualifying. If you’re found to be doing so you will be penalised.
  5. Anybody found to be corner cutting to get back to the pits will be penalised.

In-game Penalties

Penalties policed by the game will ONLY be removed after thorough review, under extreme circumstances such as:

  • Avoiding an incident.
  • Letting faster cars past and receiving a penalty for going off the track.
  • Glitches
  • Instant penalties may be removed/changed only if a driver didn't gain a significant amount of time or proof that driver lifted off the throttle, you followed the track as much as possible and re-joined the track as early as possible. Stop Go penalties and drive through penalties already served during the race will not be removed. Race director footage must be provided to prove what warnings and penalties you received

Under no circumstances will corner cutting penalties be removed unless you are avoiding an incident. It is up to the driver to avoid receiving these.

Race Footage

Recording your race is mandatory. If you are involved in an incident the stewards will ask to see your point of view. Failure to supply evidence may result in a penalty (5 license points) so it is very important that drivers record their qualifying and race. Telling the stewards what happened in your opinion without any footage can't be used to defend yourself.

Formation Lap
  1. Do not move away from your grid spot until the cars ahead starts to move
  2. Keep a safe distance to the car ahead without creating an unnecessarily large gap.
  3. If you have made a gap, close back up to the car ahead immediately.
  4. Do not drive dangerously by weaving excessively or braking suddenly in front of someone.
  5. Ghosting/Going AI – Please refer to rule number 8 under the section Track Etiquette & rule number 6 under the section Qualifying Etiquette

Overtaking
  1. If two cars have any parts alongside one another, each driver must respect the space occupied by the other car. It does not matter who is ahead, nor how far they are ahead, they may not initiate a move into the other car. Both drivers have the right to continue driving in a straight line unimpeded.
  2. Any driver defending his position on a straight, and before any braking area, may use the full width of the track during his first move, provided no significant portion of the car attempting to pass is alongside his. For the avoidance of doubt, if any part of the front wing of the car attempting to pass is alongside the rear wheel of the car in front this will be deemed to be a 'significant portion'.
  3. Very aggressive bullying of another driver on a straight is disallowed. In theory, driving sharply towards another driver does not force them to change their line, but humans being humans this will usually induce a flinch response.
  4. Brake-testing (i.e. braking earlier than normal to cause the driver behind to take evasive action or crash) is highly dangerous and frowned upon. Anybody found to be brake-testing will be heavily penalised.
  5. You are not allowed to overtake off the circuit at any time. This is policed by the game however, glitches in the game mean it can be missed. You must make every effort to give the position back to the car you overtook illegally, and anybody found gaining an advantage will be penalised.
  6. Manoeuvres liable to hinder other drivers, such as deliberate crowding of a car beyond the edge of the track or any other abnormal change of direction, are not permitted.
  7. Overtaking to unlap: if a car wants to unlap themselves please do so with caution and in a way, which does not effect the leading car. If it is done in an unsafe manor or effects the leader, you will be penalised.

Penalties: License Points System

The stewarding panel consists of multiple drivers. Each steward reviews evidence independently and without communication to determine:

  1. Guilt
  2. If a guilty party is found, whether it warrants retrospective punishment or just a reprimand

Stewards then share their conclusions. Guilt is decided by simple majority of 2 out of 3. If guilty and punishment is required, stewards decide, from a pre-set list of possible penalties, which is most appropriate.

Available Standard penalties are as follows:
  • Reprimand (+1/2/3 license points)
  • 1 place position penalty (+4-6 license points)
  • 2 place position penalty (+7-9 license points)
  • 3 place position penalty (+10-15 license points)
  • 5 place position penalty (20+ license points)
  • Disqualification (30 license points)
  • Qualifying ban (penalty points administered with discretion, applied when a race penalty is insufficient)
  • Race ban
  • repeated offense of a rule may result in a harsher penalty.
  • stewards can give another penalty than a standard penalty when someone DNF, or when they deem it to be the best
  • License points may also be applied by administrators, or stewards at their discretion for minor offences, including but not limited to:

  • Abusive and/or insulting language
  • Discrimination (including race, nationality, sex, sexual orientation etc.)
  • Repeated failure to attend races without prior notice (may result in league expulsion)
  • Late attendance to race sessions
  • Repeated communication (vocal or by text) during race sessions
  • unsporting behaviour

License Points

League of Europe has changed the penalty point system to a license points system to better reflect overall conduct within LoE as a whole

The changes implemented are to ensure that not only are people incentivised to keep things clean on track but to also encourage respect for the reserves and also respect for each other in the community

Accumulating 25 license points over a season will result in qualifying ban and accumulating 35 license points over a season will result in a race ban.

As discussed above, license points can be applied for a wide variety of on and off-track offences. License points are accumulated over a season. Everyone begins Round 1 each season with 0 penalty points but a quali or race ban can be postponed from the previous season.

Once a race ban, for accumulating 35 pp, has been served, a second race ban will be awarded after 20 further license points. If a driver earns another 15 points after that will result in permanent exclusion from the League of Europe.

Unable to Race\Attendance

If you are unable to attend a race, you must give notice for your absence no later than 3 hours before the race starts. This is done by posting in the LoE discord server under the channel name #f2-non-attendance.

If you have three, no shows without informing the league organisers you will be automatically moved to a reserve driver. The next reserve in line will be offered the seat. This is only fair in helping Constructors and to reserve drivers wanting to race. Failure to complete half of the season races, entitles us to replace you from the league with a reserve.

If a driver leaves mid-season without informing any organisers or directors or removed for poor attendance for consecutive races, then they will be automatically put on LoE’s blacklist. This is in place to stop drivers leaving if they leave the league early and keeping attendance high.
